Hednesford & Leiston Dust Off The Cobwebs

Saturday saw the first clubs `dipping their toes` into action after the long lay-off due to lockdown.

Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club Hednesford Town entertained Midland League Premier Division side Walsall Wood at Keys Park.

Unfortunately, the game was behind-closed-doors and after an opening 45 minutes when both teams dusted off some of the cobwebs, the Pitmen found a winning goal from Rob Hanna in the second period to run out 1-0 winners.

Hednesford`s league rivals Leiston were also in early action away at Thurlow Nunn First Division North outfit Sheringham and were 3-0 winners.
