Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central club North Leigh have signed young midfielder Jenson Wright.

The 20-year-old is a talented young player who joins the Millers from Vanarama National League South side Oxford City.

He is no stranger to the Division One Central, however, as he joined Thame United in October 2020 on dual registration, although the pandemic restricted his appearances.

He joined City from MK Dons at the beginning of 2019/20 and made 9 appearances in total, spending time on loan at Southern Premier Division Central outfit Banbury United after Christmas 2019.

Ironically, he scored his first goal for Oxford City in an Emirates FA Cup match against North Leigh in a 7-0 at Marsh Lane.

Wright said upon signing: "I've known Michael Alexis from a young age, and he coached me when I was a young boy and I know he was a good player himself so I know he can help me a lot and develop me.

"The last two seasons I've been at Oxford City which has been good and at a very good standard and now I want to get games under my belt and show people what I can do."

North Leigh have also seen young left-back Owen Dore sign his first contract with the Millers.
