Friendly Wins for Biggleswade & Farnborough

Early pre-season games.

Southern Division One Central rivals Bedford Town and Biggleswade FC enjoyed a competitive early friendly at The Eyrie.

The game, brought forward 24 hours due to the England game at Euro 2020, saw the visitors` keeper Tyler Josephs make a number of fine saves to maintain a clean sheet.

And the only goal of the game came with just 7 minutes remaining when a bit of a defensive mix-up in the Eagles box allowed former Norwich City youngster Alan Fleming to score.

However, it took another excellent double save from Josephs near the end to prevent the hosts from equalising.

Another game moved to Monday due to the international saw Southern Premier Division South club Farnborough win 2-0 at Combined Counties League Premier Division Spelthorne Sports.

It was two first half goals that sealed victory for Boro.
