Experienced midfielder Ross Oulton has re-joined Barwell after a very short return to Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central rivals Stratford Town.

Oulton had only been announced as having returned to the Arden Garages Stadium last month from AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

The 30-year-old had re-joined Diamonds in September 2020 from then-Southern Division One Central side Daventry Town.

The all-action midfielder was one of the central figures in the Bards history-making squad of 2018/19 season when he helped to win the Southern League Cup and finish in a club-record high league position of fifth, making the play-offs in the process.

The experienced Oulton started his career with Northampton Town and has also had stints at Leamington, Barwell, Brackley Town, Rugby Town, Banbury United, Woodford United, Kettering Town and Bedford Town as well as two at Daventry, Stratford and Diamonds.
