Tamworth Take Midfielder On Loan Until New Year

New Chesterfield signing becomes a loan Lamb.

Midfielder Jim Kellerman has joined Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club Tamworth on loan until January 2022 from Vanarama National League side Chesterfield.

The 25-year-old has only recently signed for the Spireites and has been sent to the Lambs to get game time and improve his fitness levels.

Kellerman joined Chesterfield from National League North side Kidderminster Harriers, where he had been since March 2020.

Although born in Hendon, he is a local boy, having lived in Kidderminster from an early age and having attended matches at Aggborough back in the club’s Football League days.

A former Kidderminster Lions and Stourport Swifts player as a junior, he was snapped up by Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2010, where he spent six years before his move to Aldershot.

He made 68 appearances for the Shots and scored 8 goals before journeying to Scotland to sign for St Mirren in May 2018.

But, with first-team opportunities limited to just 3 games, he signed for then-National League side AFC Fylde in August 2018 and made 13 appearances before returning to St Mirren. He was released in October 2019.
