Premier Division Central club Lowestoft Town were on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat at the Pro-Kit Stadium against Isthmian Premier Division side Bishop`s Stortford.

It was a special day for the Blues` Jake Cass.

The former Chelmsford City and Braintree Town striker netted a hat-trick in the 24th, 48th and 60th minutes to end the Trawlerboys cup run at the first hurdle.

The were several all Southern League encounters.

Division One Central Aylesbury United saw off Division One South visitors Willand Rovers 4-1 at the Meadow with goals from Jack Wood, Max Hercules, a Jamie Jellis penalty and sub Ezra Antonio-Forde.

The other ties were all involving sides from the same division.

Division One South rivals Barnstaple Town and new boys Lymington Town were separated by a goal midway through the second half from the visitors` vastly experienced striker Craig McAllister.

Another all-Division One South tie saw Frome Town edge out struggling Mangotsfield United 1-0, courtesy of a first half goal from Rex Mannings.

Four all-Premier Division Central encounters saw wins for Hitchin Town, Coalville Town, Needham Market and Tamworth.

Hitchin won the derby at Langford Road against Biggleswade Town 3-0 with goals from Alex Brown from the spot, Luke Brown and Callum Stead.

Coalville enjoyed revenge for a 2-1 defeat in the league last month to knock AFC Rushden & Diamonds out of the cup at home, 5-2.

Tim Berridge gave the Ravens the lead, Nathan Tshikuna equalised but then Berridge completed his hat-trick before half-time to lead 3-1.

Berridge scored a fourth, Jay Williams pulled a second back for Diamonds but
Kyle Jardine made it a nap hand for the hosts.

A 52nd minute Kyle Hammond effort eventually proved enough for Needham Market at Bloomfields against St Ives Town, while Tamworth beat Alvechurch 3-1 at The Lamb with goals from Tyrell Waite after 9 minutes, Dan Creaney on 53 minutes and Orrin Pendley on 66, with Luke Yates replying in the 73rd minute.

In all-Premier Division South ties, there were wins for Walton Casuals, Poole Town and Yate Town.

The Stags edged out Hartley Wintney 2-1 at the Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub with goals from Adam Liddle and Zidan Akers.

Poole hammered Swindon Supermarine 5-0 at the Black Gold Stadium with Dan Bartlett, a Tony Lee with two, including a penalty and a Luke Burbidge brace.

And Yate had a 3-1 win at the Avenue Stadium against Dorchester Town with an Olly Mehew brace and one from Dave Sims-Burgess seeing the Bluebells through.
