Leaders North Leigh, who lost at home last Saturday, were held to a 2-2 draw by Thame United at the ASM Autos Stadium.

And the Red Kites found themselves 2-0 up at half-time, courtesy of a brace from Greg Hackett in the 8th and 31st minutes.

The Millers fought back in the second half, eventually reducing the deficit 11 minutes from time through Jordan Thomas and then grabbing the leveller just 2 minutes later.

Ware were looking to follow up their terrific win in the Emirates FA Cup last week against Vanarama National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town and consolidate third place in the table when they welcomed their former Isthmian South Central rivals Harlow Town to Wodson Park.

But, as the very sadly now late Jimmy Greaves used to say: “It`s a funny old game”, as the Hawks left with a 2-1 win!

Ware couldn`t have asked for a better start either, with Robbie Buchanan giving them a first-minute lead.

But the visitors gradually got themselves back in the game, although the equaliser didn`t arrive until the hour-mark from Hector Mackie.

And 11 minutes from time, Harlow won it with a goal from Josh Steele.

It took Kidlington eight matches to earn a first league win – and now they have back-to-back victories after a 3-0 success at the Loop Meadow Stadium against a Didcot Town side who were looking to move into the top five.

It wasn`t the Railwaymen`s best night defensively as they gifted their neighbours` goals from James Holmes after 13 minutes and then Stephen Robertson after 39 and 89 minutes.

Barton Rovers made it back-to-back 2-1 wins with victory over Kempston Rovers at Sharpenhoe Road.

Nathan Frater gave the home side a 23rd-minute lead that Bradley Bell doubled 6 minutes before half-time.

The Walnut Boys `won` the second half with a goal from recent signing Tremayne Charles in the 54th minute, but Barton held on, with Kempston losing Miguel Lopes De Matos to a red card 3 minutes from time.

Aylesbury United moved into the top ten after a 2-0 success against Colney Heath at the Meadow.

In dreadful conditions, Ty Deacon gave the Ducks an early 8th-minute lead.

Jamie Jellis had the chance to double that lead 9 minutes into the second half but saw his penalty saved by Heath `keeper Connor Sansom.

But the visitors` custodian was beaten again in the 66th minute as Ezra Forde doubled the Ducks lead – and one they held.
