Trio of Young Loanees for Salisbury

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Salisbury have taken young duo Tommy McDermott and James Plant from League One side Port Vale.

Seventeen-year-old McDermott signed his first professional contract in July 2022 and impressed on his senior debut against Fleetwood Town.

In total, McDermott has made 5 first-team appearances and joins Salisbury on loan until the end of the season.

Plant, who was a standout performer in the Valiants FA Youth Cup Fourth Round tie against Liverpool and was recently named in a match day squad for the first team has joined Salisbury on `work experience`.

Plant made his first-team debut as a late sub for Port Vale in the EFL Trophy.

The midfielder then went out on loan to Northern Premier League Premier Division side Nantwich Town where he was named man of the match for his debut performance.

When he left Nantwich their supporters praised his “creative playing style and energetic performances”.

The Whites have also signed Tobi Ogundega on loan from League Two side Sutton United.

The 18-year-old is a central defender that was previously a member of the academy team at MK Dons.

He also had a three-month loan spell with Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Kingstonian, making 13 appearances from August until November 2022.
