Prior to the match at the Yvette Brewer Stadium, Berkhamsted received the PST Sport Club Team of the Month award for October.
The Comrades` third award of the season to date was presented to Berkhamsted’s assistant manager Darren Locke by League Director Gary Clarke
And it didn’t take long for the leaders to take the lead as they were awarded a penalty with only 5 minutes gone on the clock which JJ Lacey duly converted.
The visitors maintained that one-goal lead at the break, but Robbie O’Keefe’s side pulled back on level terms in the 59th minute through top scorer Jon Clements.
But parity lasted barely 3 minutes as Brad Wadkins restored Berkhamsted’s lead – a lead they held on to.
Tuesday’s other game saw third-from-bottom Aylesbury United share a 0-0 draw with 15th-placed Hertford Town at The Meadow.
The Ducks have won only once in 12 games and only three points separate Barton Rovers in bottom spot with Highworth Town in 16th – Hertford hold a six-point advantage over the bottom four.
