Newcomers Help The Row Earn Useful Point

Hartley Wintney welcomed two new signings, Sharn Quinn and Afolabi Soyemi-Ololade, into the side that earned a very useful point from a 0-0 draw at Plymouth Parkway in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South on Saturday.

Quinn is a 26-year-old centre-back who joins The Row from Essex Senior League side Clapton, although he was also dual registered with Isthmian League South East Division strugglers Faversham Town, for whom he has made 6 appearances this season.

He started his career with League Two side Leyton Orient, where he became a regular in the under-18s before being released at the end of the 2014/15 season.

He signed for league rivals Colchester United and played in their under-21s.

In July 2016 he moved to Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Enfield Town, where he spent a year before playing for Hertford Town for a season.

In July 2018, he signed for Vanarama National League South side Concord Rangers, where he stayed until January 2021 when he moved to Sweden for just over a year with IFK Amal.

In February 2022 Quinn returned to England and joined National League South side Welling United before being released at the end of the 2021/22 season when he signed for Clapton.

Soyemi-Ololade is a 23-year-old striker who joins The Row from Southern Premier Division Central outfit Bedford Town.

He had moved to the Eagles in October 2022 from Isthmian League North side Hashtag United.

He had joined Hashtag from Isthmian Premier side Margate, where he had been since March 2022 having been on the books at Southern Premier Division South side Hayes & Yeading United since July 2021 after arriving from Southern Counties East League side Fisher.

He has also spent time at college in the United States where he played for the East Flordia State Titans and prior to this represented Essex schools at under-18 level and has also played for Essex Senior Leaguers Woodford Town.

He was also dual registered with Isthmian South Central side Westfield and then Isthmian North outfit Romford in 2021/22.
