Chong Makes Nuneaton Move

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Nuneaton Borough signed attacking midfielder Kobe Chong in time to be included in the squad that beat Stratford Town 1-0 on Saturday.

The 21-year-old joins Boro from Vanarama National League North side AFC Telford United.

He had been with the Bucks since July 2022 after joining from League One Peterborough United, where he had been since the summer of 2021.

He arrived at Northern Premier Division One Midlands outfit Sutton Coldfield Town in November 2020 from Midland League Premier Division side Highgate United.

The British-born player was with Championship side West Bromwich Albion and National League North outfit Kidderminster Harriers as a junior.

He moved to Italy for two years in 2016 where he played for Serie A Cagliari’s under-17 side.

He returned to England in August 2018 and played for Solihull Moors` under-19 side before joining then-Southern League Premier Division Central outfit Banbury United in October 2019 and then rivals Redditch United until lockdown.

He moved to Highgate in the summer of 2020.
