Barwell Borrow Brakes Midfielder

Attacking midfielder Connor Taylor has joined Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Barwell on a month’s loan from Vanarama National League North side Leamington in order to gain match time.

Leamington-born, the 30-year-old joined his home-town club in the close season of 2018 from Tamworth.

He was voted player of the season by the Lambs supporters at the end of the 2017/18 season.

He spent five years with Tamworth, having joined initially on loan before signing permanently after spells with Walsall and Nuneaton Borough, making over 150 appearances.

He began his career at Aston Villa before spending a season at the Bescot Stadium, making a single appearance for Walsall’s first team during the 2012/13 season, when he spent his first spell on loan at Tamworth.

He moved to Barwell’s league rivals Bromsgrove Sporting in July 2021 and then re-joined Leamington in March 2022.
