Beresford became the first ever player from grassroots football to receive a scholarship for Birmingham’s under-16s when he left Alvechurch’s league rivals Basford United in November 2020.
He joined Basford after being invited to train with the club following his release from Notts County at just 14 years old.
Beresford made his debut for `Church on Tuesday night, coming off the bench in a 0-0 draw with Bromsgrove Sporting.
