Goalscoring Debut for New Rovers Signing

Making a goalscoring debut for Paulton Rovers in their defeat at home against Bishops Cleeve in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South on Saturday was Brandon Bak.

Just 16, Bak joins Rovers on `work experience` from Championship side Bristol City.

In October 2022, Bak left Southern Premier Division South side Weston-super-Mare and signed a scholarship agreement with Bristol City.

He had been with the Seagulls since the age of 12, progressing through the academy age groups and impressing enough to make first team manager Scott Bartlett’s first-team squad at the start of the 2022/23 season.

He made his first appearance for the Seagulls in their final pre-season game against Yeovil Town as a late substitute and has gone on to make 3 appearances as well as being named on the bench unused 4 times ahead of his move to Ashton Gate.

The striker found the net for the first time and assisted another in his first start for Weston in a 3-1 Somerset Premier Cup win over Shepton Mallet.

As well as being given a taste of first-team action, the young striker netted 8 goals in five games across the under-18 and under-19 age groups during the early stages of their respective campaigns.
