The Bluebells have announced that Mark Thorne has taken the helm following long-standing Colin Pick’s decision to step down from the position over the weekend.
The Board of Directors appointed local businessman Thorne, following his recent spell as commercial manager at the club.
Thorne told his club’s website: “I would like to thank the Board of Directors for their backing and for having the confidence in me to take on this role.
“I am aware that I follow a number of very notable bodies as chair people and I have some big shoes to fill.”
Meanwhile, Yate have brought in 23-year-old forward Lynford Bhebhe from Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Cribbs.
