Ferdinand Returns to The Met

Metropolitan Police have re-signed striker Liam Ferdinand from Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South rivals Chesham United.

The 28-year-old made the step up to the Vanarama National League South with Hungerford Town in July 2019 from then-Isthmian South Central side Bracknell Town before moving to Southern Premier Division South outfit Harrow Borough in the summer of 2020.

He had ended the 2018/19 season as top scorer in the division with 32 goals having re-joined the Robins in the summer of 2018 from Thatcham Town.

He was previously with Marlow and Binfield and represented the FA in an ambassadorial visit to the Falkland Islands in November 2018.

He helped Binfield to reach the 2020/21 FA Vase Final on dual registration before moving to the Met in June 2021.

He switched to Farnborough in May 2022 having missed out on promotion to the National League South with the Hampshire outfit.

He spent the early part of 2022/23 on loan to Southern Premier Division South side Bracknell Town and then another in Chesham, before making the move to the latter on a more permanent basis in January 2023.
