Tiverton Bolster Squad Ahead of Run-In

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Tiverton Town have bolstered their squad numbers ahead of the season’s run-in.

Joining the Yellows on dual registration with Toolstation Western League Premier Division side Saltash United is Carlo Garside.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder joined Saltash towards the end of January 2023 from Southern Division One South outfit Larkhall Athletic.

He moved to the Larks in August 2022 after a short spell with Southern Premier Division South side Plymouth Parkway.

He had only signed for Lee Hobbs’ side in July after being released by League One neighbours Plymouth Argyle, where he had featured for the under-18s.

Fresh off signing his first professional contract with League One side Exeter City, midfielder Pedro Borges has joined Tiverton on loan.

The 18-year-old heads to the Ian Moorcroft Stadium until the end of the season.

He made his senior debut for the Grecians in August 2022 against Newport County in the Papa John’s Trophy, before featuring again in the same competition a month later in a tie against Southampton under-21.

He has also spent part of this season on loan at Tiverton’s league rivals Plymouth Parkway.

Meanwhile, Borges` Exeter team-mate Nelson Iseguan has extended his loan from St James’s Park.

The highly rated 19-year-old, who originally spent time on loan with Tivvy in 2021/22, returned to the Yellows in February.
