Vaughan Joins Stratford's Relegation Fight

Stratford Town, battling relegation from the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central, have signed vastly experienced defender Lee Vaughan.

The 36-year-old joins the Bards from league rivals Stourbridge, where he was skipper.

Vaughan moved to the Glassboys in June 2021 after his release by Vanarama National League side Barnet.

He had signed a short-term deal with the Bees in March 2021 having left National League North side AFC Telford United.

He had re-joined the Bucks in June 2020 from National League side Solihull Moors where he had been since February 2019 after arriving from Kidderminster Harriers.

Originally on the books at League Two Walsall, having signed for Kidderminster in 2010 from Telford, he made 157 appearances in all, either side of moves to Cheltenham Town and Tranmere Rovers, before returning to Harriers in 2017.
