A waterlogged pitch at the Ian Moorcroft Stadium caused the game to be postponed.
However, the Division One South derby between Westbury United and Frome Town at The Gooding Accounts Ground did take place and it attracted an amazing crowd of 958 – the biggest at Westbury for many years.
It wasn’t the best of games in the opening 45 minutes, with Frome edging the possession.
The start of the second period saw one of the visitors` new signings, Zak Drew, go close as did Joe O’Loughlin.
But Westbury began to get a foothold in the match and on 58 minutes, the deadline was broken when, following a fine Ashton Shanley cross, Jake Hutchings fired past Frome `keeper Kyle Phillips.
The visitors tried hard to get back into the game, with Drew impressing on debut, and George Rigg coming close to equalising.
But Westbury held firm and although they remain in ninth spot, they are now on 44 points and within 6 points of current fifth-placed Tavistock AFC
