And with second-placed Truro City’s game being postponed at Bolitho Park against Salisbury, the title race took another twist.

The highest attendance at the village this season, 287, saw the Millers take a 35th minute lead with a stunning effort from 30 yards by Jack Alexander.

And, despite the Seagulls enjoying the lions` share of possession, it was the hosts who doubled their advantage when the returning loanee, Conor McDonagh tapped in from close range after a counter-attack.

Bracknell Town are right back in the mix now in third place after they won 2-0 at bottom side Yate Town.

Adam Richards gave the Robins a 38th minute lead at the South West Interiors Stadium and 5 minutes after the break, Joe Grant added the visitors second.

Bracknell are now just two points behind Truro and six of Weston with a game in hand on both.

Poole Town moved above Chesham United into fourth spot after they edged out another play-off contender, Hayes & Yeading United, while the Generals were beaten 1-0 at Imber Court by another, Metropolitan Police.

A crowd of 693 at the BlackGold Stadium on `Non-League Day` saw the visitors take a 9th minute lead through Daniel Green.

But the Dolphins were back on level terms after 35 minutes when Corby Moore’s corner was headed home by Jamie Whisken.

And 3 minutes before the break, Poole had the chance to go in 2-1 up when they were awarded a penalty after Wes Fogden was tripped in the box.

But Tony Lee’s spot-kick hits a post and goes wide.

However, they did manage to take a lead into the half-time break, thanks to a superb free-kick from Marcus Daws.

And that proved enough to seal the three valuable points for Tom Killick’s side and leave Hayes & Yeading now as the outsiders in the race for a top five slot.

Chesham were beaten by a Met Police side who are now seventh and five points behind the Generals.

The deadlock was broken in the 66th minute when, slipped in on goal by Liam Ferdinand, Martell Taylor-Crossdale made no mistake in firing beyond Baptiste and into the roof of the net to pull the Met ahead.

Sixth-placed Swindon Supermarine are four points behind the top five slots after winning 3-1 at The Powerday Stadium against Hanwell Town.

Top marksman Harry Williams gave `Marine a 38th minute lead which they held until half-time.

On the hour-mark, the visitors doubled their advantage through James Harding.

There was a debut goal for Imran Kayani when he headed home a cross from close range to pull the Geordies back into the game in the 66th minute.

But Henry Spalding made sure of an away win when he notched Supermarine’s third.

At the other end of the table, North Leigh’s tremendous win saw them move to fourth-from-bottom spot.

Unfortunately for Chris Allen’s side, the three teams immediately above them all won today, leaving them five points behind 18th-placed Hendon.

But North Leigh were the only team in the bottom four to have gained any points, as Yate, Hartley Wintney and Harrow Borough all lost.

Hartley Wintney were beaten in a `six-pointer` at Silver Jubilee Park against Hendon.

The crucial goal came with 14 minutes left to play by Niko Muir.

Harrow lost another crucial encounter with fast-falling Gosport Borough, whose six-game winless run came to an end at The Rogers Family Stadium.

Brett Williams gave the Hampshire side a 20th minute lead that Harvey Rew doubled 12 minutes from time, lifting Mark Molesley’s side to six points clear of North Leigh in 17th.

Winchester City also secured a vital win today to go to 39 points, seven clear of the bottom four.

The Citizens had a crowd of 337 at the Charters Community Stadium as the beat a Beaconsfield Town side who hadn’t lost in their previous seven outings 4-0.

Ollie Balmer after 26 minutes and then Simba Mlambo within a minute gave City a two-goal start.

Callum Baughan eventually added a third on 65 minutes and Mlambo’s second added the icing on the cake 9 minutes from time.

Dorchester Town still need to have a glance over their shoulders at the relegation zone after going down to a 2-0 defeat at The Avenue Stadium to Merthyr Town.

A crowd of 465 saw goals from Frazer Thomas after 43 minutes and then Lewis Powell 2 minutes from time seal a good win for the Martyrs.
