Although the title has already been decided, play-off positioning is now top of the agenda, and the Greens want to have a home semi-final.
But they faced a Didcot side who have a good away record this season and were level on points with Dave Northfield and Mark Inskip’s side at start of play.
However, it took only 7 minutes for the Railwaymen’s defence to be breached when Tom Coles set up Daniel Bond to fire past Leigh Bedwell in the visitors` goal.
Jamie Heapy’s visitors gradually got themselves into the game and on 14 minutes, came close to levelling when Seth Humphries was denied by a good save from Daniel Green.
The first half finished 1-0 to the hosts and both teams had played their part in an entertaining 45 minutes.
As the second half progressed one or two tempers began to rise and the referee had to reach for his yellow card a few times to settle things down.
Then, on 78 minutes, Biggleswade grabbed the vital second goal, although it didn’t please Didcot, who were convinced Lawrie Marsh was offside when he went through before setting up Bond for his second of the evening.
So, three more points for the Greens and they still have two games in hand on Didcot.
