Weston-Super-Mare Premier South Champions

Following Tuesday night's 4-1 home win over Hendon, Weston-super-Mare were crown Premier Division South Champions.

In front of a terrific crowd of 1,490, Marlon Jackson gave the Seagulls the perfect start when he went through to score in the opening minute.

And just 7 minutes later, Weston went two-up through Jason Pope.

Dave Diedhiou pulled one back for the Greens 3 minutes after half-time, only for Jackson to restore the home side’s two-goal advantage just a minute later.

And a memorable night for Jackson and the Weston team was complete when he netted his hat-trick in the 71st minute.

After the conclusion of the match the players were presented with their winners' medals and presented with the champions trophy by League Chairman Anthony Hughes.

On Saturday 29th April, Weston-super-Mare will face either Coalville Town or Tamworth in the champions final with the winner being presented with the historic shield that graces the names of those clubs going back to the 1894/95 season.

The evening’s other game saw Plymouth Parkway move up to 11th in the table, courtesy of a 1-0 win at Bolitho Park against Winchester City.

In front of a crowd of 367, Mikey Williams headed the only goal of the game 5 minute before the break.
