Now Muir Extends Greens Stay

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Hendon have announced that striker Niko Muir has signed a contract keeping him at Silver Jubilee Park for another year.

The 30-year-old re-joined Hendon in February 2023 from Vanarama National League South side Hungerford Town and scored 8 times in 17 league games and 11 goals in total.

He had moved to the Crusaders in June 2022 from Billericay Town where he had been since January 2022 after arriving from another National League South rival, Hampton & Richmond Borough.

He had been with the Beavers since the summer of 2020 having been on loan during the latter part of the 2019/20 season from then-National League side Hartlepool United, who paid an undisclosed fee to Hendon when they won the race for his signature in the summer of 2018.

He struck 40 goals in all competitions for the Greens during 2017/18 and became a target for a number of clubs before Pools completed their move.

A strong and powerful front man, he has been a reliable source of goals for a number of clubs on the non-League scene, including Grays Athletic, Wingate & Finchley, VCD Athletic and Leiston.
