Poole had obtained Murray’s services from Vanarama National League South neighbours Weymouth for much of the 2022/23 campaign on loan.

The 28-year-old had switched to the Terras from Poole’s league rivals Dorchester Town in January 2019.

On the books at Leeds United, Bradford City and York City as a youngster, he turned professional with the Minstermen in 2013 but left two years later without breaking into the senior side.

He had two spells with Scarborough Athletic, sandwiched by a season at FC United of Manchester and a short time at Stalybridge Celtic before moving south to Dorchester in August 2018.

And Poole supporters will also be delighted with the news that two of last season’s stand-out players have agreed to stay with the Dolphins.

Despite interest from higher up the non-League Pyramid, talented midfielder Harry Hutchinson has committed himself to Poole’s cause and signed a contract for the 2023/24 season.

The 20-year-old has been with Poole for a while and was a member of the champion academy and also part of the talented under-23 squad.

Another highly rated player who has come through the age group structure to challenge for a first team place, he previously spent time on joint registration with Wessex League Premier side Portland United.

Another valued member of last season’s squad, Luke Pardoe, has also committed himself to the club for season 2023/24/

The flying winger just got better and better as last season progressed and has put pen-to-paper on a contract for next term.

The 20-year-old originally had a spell on loan with Poole on `work experience` from neighbours AFC Bournemouth.

He joined the Dolphins on a more permanent basis in the summer of 2020 following the Cherries relegation to the Championship.
