Cocklin Re-Signs for Magpies

Wimborne Town have confirmed that, after putting in some solid performances during the second half of last season, Connor Cocklin has agreed to re-sign for the Pitching In Southern League Division One South club for 2023/24.

The 25-year-old centre-back came through the academy set up at AFC Bournemouth.

He moved into non-League football with Andover Town, Wimborne, Winchester City and Gosport Borough.

He signed for then-Wessex League side Hamworthy United in 2019 and then re-joined Wimborne in December 2022.

Also penning a new deal with Wimborne is midfielder Ben Satterley.

The 25-year-old joined the Magpies in late May 2022 from Wessex League Premier Division side Shaftesbury, who he signed for midway through the 2021/22 campain.

He had signed for Lymington Town in the summer of 2021 and then joined Christchurch.

Meanwhile, leaving the Magpies are Ashley Wells, Asa Phillips, Connal Morrison and Aaron Roberts, who has already agreed to join Shaftesbury.
