Hutchings Becomes First New Raven for 2023/24

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Coalville Town have unveiled Jake Hutchings as their first new recruit for 2023/24.

The 27-year-old defender makes the move to the Mander Cruickshank Solicitors Stadium from league rivals Leiston.

He was an ever present since re-joining the Suffolk outfit in 2021 and went on to become their vice-captain last season.

Despite playing for Leiston he actually lives closer to Coalville down the M1, so will be reducing his travel time on training and match days.

Originally with Leyton and Torquay United, he also had a spell in the Scottish Premiership with Hearts before returning south with Grays Athletic.

His first spell with Leiston came in October 2016 before he joined Merstham in the summer of 2017.

He then stepped up to the Vanarama National League South with Braintree Town in June 2019.

He was appointed player-manager of the Iron in November 2019 but quit after just a month in charge and re-joined Leiston in early December 2019.

He then signed for Isthmian Premier outfit Kingstonian in June 2020 before returning once again to Victory Road in May 2021.
