Neale Switches Magpies

Wimborne Town have announced the signing of midfielder Matty Neale from Southern Premier Division South neighbours Dorchester Town.

Neale has previously featured for the club on loan during the 2016/17 from AFC Bournemouth.

He featured over 40 times for Dorchester in 2022/23, having joined the Magpies in July 2022 from Hamworthy United.

He previously played for Poole Town and Christchurch.

Wimborne manager Tim Sills, who worked with Neale at Hamworthy, told his club’s website: “I am so happy to welcome Matty to Wimborne Town.

"As someone I have worked with before I know the quality and winning mentality he will bring to the group.

"It is another big statement that, after an impressive season in the league above, Matty has recognised the ambition of what we are working towards and can’t wait to be a focal part of it".
