Striker Returns to Magpies

Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Wimborne Town have announced the return of forward Jack Lovell from Bashley.

The 29-year-old returns to the Magpies after spending most of last season at Bashley.

He had signed for Bash in late August 2022 after starting the 2022/23 season with Wessex League Premier Division side Shaftesbury.

The son of former Wimborne FA Vase winner Jason Lovell, he originally joined the club in October 2016 having previously been with Wessex League sides Verwood Town, Bemerton Heath Harlequins and Hamworthy United.

Wimborne manager Tim Sills told his club’s website: “Jack is back home! Having worked with Jack at Hamworthy I know what he brings and he has developed his goalscoring to become a really strong number 9 as well as being able to play all across the front line. With unfinished business at Wimborne I am really looking forward to working with and seeing Jack flourish in a Magpies shirt again”.
