Long-Serving Guppy Commits to Rovers

After 392 appearances over 9 years, defender Ryan Guppy has agreed to a tenth year with Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Willand Rovers.

After signing a new contract to celebrate Guppy’s tenth year, the club have awarded him a testimonial game in the spring of 2024.

The 28-year-old re-joined Willand in January 2018 from Devon & Exeter League side Feniton.

He originally signed for Rovers in 2014.

Rovers` manager David Steele told his club’s social media outlets: “To be able to retain Ryan for another year feels very much like a new signing.

“We are over the moon with this one, and it’s also fantastic that the club are able to reward the loyalty shown by Ryan.

“This is excellent news for everyone connected with the club”.
