Wright, 26, joins Mickleover from league rivals Stratford Town.

He had signed for the Bards in October 2022 from then-Vanarama National League North side Kettering Town.

He had moved to the Poppies in June 2022 from Hereford having been with the Bulls since March 2022 after arriving from AFC Telford United.

He started his career at West Bromwich Albion academy and had loan spells at Kidderminster Harriers, Torquay United and Coventry City.

He joined Harriers on a more permanent basis in 2017 and went on to have spells with Nuneaton Borough, Torquay, Gloucester City, Irish sides Bohemians and Sligo Rovers and Scottish outfit Ayr United before signing for Telford in January 2022.

McGrath said: “I am delighted to welcome Andre to Mickleover. He’s an incredibly talented footballer and someone who I have monitored closely all season. Not only a gifted player, but someone who has the belief, determination and drive to be the best version of himself, which in turn will drive us as a football club”.

McGrath has also signed young goalkeeper Jim Pollard from Northern Premier League Premier Division side Matlock Town.

Pollard, 25, was first choice with the Gladiators for much of last season.

He had moved to the Gladiators in May 2022 from Grantham Town.

He joined the Gingerbreads in the summer of 2021, having already played over 100 competitive games at non-League level.

He had been with Toolstation Northern Counties East League outfit Maltby Main and prior to that Sheffield United.

His other clubs include Gainsborough Trinity and Frickley Athletic.

McGrath added: “I am delighted to get this signature finally sorted and over the line. Jim is someone I’ve always been keen to bring to Mickleover. At only 25 he adds real quality to our squad. His presence will not only be felt on the pitch but also in and around the changing room”.
