Pitching In Southern League Division Central club Biggleswade Town have added two more new players to their squad ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Christian Tavernier

Christian Tavernier

The experienced Christian Tavernier joins the Waders from league rivals AFC Dunstable.

The central midfielder has been a consistent performer at this level over a number of years and will bring quality and athleticism to Biggleswade’s midfield.

The 30-year-old started out at Luton Town.

He joined AFC Dunstable in 2017 after five years at Arlesey Town, where he was a regular goalscorer.

A tall, elegant player, he had a short spell with Stotfold in between in time at Arlesey.

Another midfielder, Luke Andrews, has also checked into the Yvette Brewer Stadium.

The 19-year-old was a title winner last season with Berkhamsted and is very highly regarded amongst players and coaches and will be a fans favourite with the Waders.

Andrews helped the Comrades to win the Southern Division One Central title in 2022/23 having arrived in July 2022 from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division neighbours Crawley Green where he made 36 appearances in 2021/22, scoring 2 goals, having made his senior breakthrough the previous season.
