Byrne Makes Yeltz Move

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central new boys Halesowen Town have announce their latest signing as manager Paul Smith continues to build his squad ahead of the forthcoming season.

Experienced midfielder Jack Byrne has signed for the Yeltz.

The 33-year-old moves to The Grove from league rivals Redditch United, who he had re-joined in November 2021 from AFC Telford United.

He had moved to the Bucks in May 2020 from Redditch`s league rivals Nuneaton Borough.

He had joined Boro from National League North side Brackley Town in July 2019.

He signed for the Saints in the summer of 2017 as one of several players to make the switch from Solihull Moors to St James`s Park at the time.

He played 85 games for Solihull over the previous two seasons, scoring 9 goals and was voted players’ player of 2016/17.

He joined Moors after five seasons at Kidderminster Harriers where he made 164 appearances, scoring 28 goals and contested the Conference (National League) Premier play-offs.

He was previously with Redditch and Stratford Town.
