Suraci & Lea Return for Barsa

Pat Suraci and Joe Lea, joint managers of Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Gosport Borough, have returned to their former club, Petersfield Town, to sign midfielder Alex Barsa.

Born in the Czech Republic, Barsa will be in Boro colours next season having originally joined the club in 2021/22 and then signed dual forms with Wessex League Premier Division side US Portsmouth.

He spent last season at Petersfield where he scored 18 goals and helped the team to win promotion to the Wessex Premier Division.

He had originally signed for Boro in January 2022 whilst studying at the University of Portsmouth.

Young centre-back Finley Walsh-Smith has committed to Gosport for the 2023/24 season.

He is a familiar face to Suraci and Lea having come through Boro’s centre of excellence and then representing the under-18s and under-23s before making the senior squad last season.
