Now Leiston Lose Davies

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Leiston have lost another of their highly rated players.

Striker Will Davies has left the Blues to join Vanarama National League South side Braintree Town.

The 24-year-old joined Leiston in the summer of 2018, having played for Coplestonians in the Suffolk & Ipswich League.

After topping the reserves` scoring charts, he became a regular member of Leiston`s first team squad in 2019/20.

He netted 31 goals last season, including 29 in the league, and in total, played 158 times for the Suffolk outfit, scoring 65 goals, and played in every league game for Leiston in 2022/23.

Davies follows Finlay Barnes, sold to National League side York City, and Ben Fowkes, who has moved to National League North outfit Peterborough Sports, out of the Victory Road door this summer.
