Swindon Supermarine Lose Duffus But Gain Cooper

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Swindon Supermarine have lost the services of centre-back Tyrone Duffus to Vanarama National League North side Gloucester City.

The 26-year-old joined `Marine in July 2021 having left National League side Barnet, where he had been since September 2020.

He started his career with Everton where he progressed through from the under-18s to the under-21s.

Whilst with the Toffees he had loan spells with Skelmersdale United, Hereford FC and also with Cardiff City`s under-23s.

He was released from Goodison Park at the end of the 2018/19 season and spent pre-season with Carlisle United, but failed to earn a contract.

He signed for Northern Premier League Premier Division side Warrington Town in November 2019 and then moved to Witton Albion in February 2020.

However, `Marine boss Lee Spalding has replaced Duffus with central defender Luke Cooper.

Cardiff-based, he has for JD Cymru Premier side Barry Town United for the last seven seasons before he left at the end of last season.

He originally signed for Barry in July 2016, having spent a few seasons at nearby Caerau Ely where he won a Welsh League Division One championship.

He was an ever-present in our own Welsh League Division One championship-winning season last year.

He possesses a Master’s degree from the University of South Wales and is a Welsh Universities representative.
