Two New Crows

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Royston Town have added two players to their squad ahead of tomorrow’s big kick-off.

Striker Juwon Akintunde joins the Crows from Isthmian League South Central side Northwood.

The 27-year-old had signed for Northwood in October 2022 from league rivals Uxbridge.

He had joined the Reds in the summer of 2021 from Aylesbury United, where he had been since February 2020.

He started his career as a youngster in the youth sides at Queens Park Rangers, Brentford and Barnet.

He then played for Maidenhead United in their highly successful under-18 team which included the likes of current Nottingham Forest star Matty Cash.

Then in 2015 he went over to the United States, firstly with Cincinnati State College, then West Virginia Wesleyan and then played for GPS Portland Phoenix, a semi-pro side competing in the US Premier Development League.

He started last season in the Isthmian South East with East Grinstead Town and then joined Harrow Borough in October 2019 before signing for Chalfont St Peter in January 2020.

Defender Ange Djadja joins Royston from Combined Counties Premier Division South side Farnham Town after a successful trial period.

He has previously played for Walton & Hersham.
