Tivvy Forced to Borrow Keeper

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Tiverton Town have announced the signing of goalkeeper Mike Searle on a short-term loan deal from Division One South neighbours Willand Rovers following an injury to Josey Casa-Grande.

This move comes nearly nine years since his last game for the Yellows.

The 31-year-old experienced custodian had joined Rovers` league rivals Tavistock AFC in January as player-coach from home-town South West Peninsula League Premier Division East club Crediton United, having been with Leicester City as a youth, Torquay United, Tiverton, Witheridge and Truro City in the past.

Very vocal and assured gloveman, he joined Willand Rovers in January 2018 and then moved to Crediton in March 2022 on loan.
