Marsden Loving Life At Leiston

Midfield man playing his part

Leiston are the latest club to try and tackle the early season juggernaut that is Mickleover as they head to Station Road on Saturday.

After finishing third last season, the Blues have had a mixed start to the current campaign in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central with two wins, two draws and two defeats from their opening six League games.

“We know that Saturday’s game will be tough against in-form opponents, but our changing room is a good place to be right now,” admitted midfielder, Joe Marsden. “We’re undefeated in our last three games and have a home FA Cup tie against St. Albans City from the level above coming up to look forward to.

“I’ve got such a great relationship with everyone at the club; we’re all in this together and hopefully we can go on to achieve another successful season.

“The season has started well generally and we know that we can really kick-on from here and make an impact.

“Whatever happens, I’ll be giving my all and enjoying being part of this club.”

Marsden has two goals to his name this season after he followed up his effort against AFC Telford United with a penalty against St. Ives Town last weekend in the Emirates FA Cup.
