ISUZU FA TROPHY SECOND ROUND QUALIFYING | WEEKEND REVIEW

Mousehole win historic clash

It was Isuzu FA Trophy second round qualifying weekend for our Step 4 clubs.

History was made at Mousehole as they played their first-ever home tie in the competition and made it through thanks to a commanding 3-0 victory over League rivals, Tavistock.

Frome Town won by the same scoreline in their trip to Bemerton Heath Harlequins in another all Division One South encounter.

It was a closely-fought affair at Bishops Cleeve as they overcame the challenge of Bristol Manor Farm by three goals to two, whilst Cribbs’ clash with Bashley went all the way to penalties after it finished 3-3 after 90 minutes. In the end Cribbs prospered 4-2 on spot-kicks.

In an all Division One Central clash, Biggleswade won 2-1 against Hadley, whilst Kidlington beat Division One South Exmouth Town by the same scoreline.

It was the end of the road for AFC Dunstable, who lost 3-2 at home to Brightlingsea Regent, Hertford Town, who went down 6-3 away at Felixstowe & Walton United and Waltham Abbey who were well beaten at home by Heybridge Swifts, going down to a 5-1 reverse.
