KINGS LANGLEY | READY FOR BATTLE

Big game at the top of Division One Central on Tuesday evening

There’s a mouth-watering clash at the top of the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central on Tuesday evening as two so far unbeaten teams go head-to-head with Bedford Town playing host to Kings Langley.

Having suffered relegation at the end of last season, Bedford have started the current campaign with six League wins out of six, whilst Kings Langley have won four and drawn three of their seven League outings.

“We’re really looking forward to going there and testing ourselves,” said Kings’ manager, Jordan Parkes. “It may be early in the season still, but this is a big game; we’ve done our research on them, as we always do, and we know what they are about.

“We’ll put on a game plan based on our strengths and the areas that we can work on against them.

“Going into the season, everyone expected Bedford to be strong and that has certainly been the case so far, but we’ve started well and we go there with plenty of belief in our own ability.”

It will be Kings Langley’s first action in ten days since they beat Hertford Town 1-0, whilst Bedford go into the game on the back of Saturday’s Isuzu FA Trophy exit at the hands of Matlock Town where they succumbed to a 1-0 reverse at the hands of their higher level opponents.
