PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH & CENTRAL | TUESDAY REVIEW

Wins for Beaconsfield Town and Bracknell Town

There was action in both the Pitching In Southern League Premier South and Central on Tuesday evening.

Starting in the Premier South, Beaconsfield Town secured a 3-1 victory over Harrow Borough. Joseph Morrison set them on their way with an early strike and Zidan Akers was able to double the advantage with just 18 minutes on the clock. Reece Mitchell reduced the arrears but soon afterwards, and with half-time approaching, Tom McElroy, added a third for the hosts and that proved to be the end of the scoring.

Bracknell Town came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 victory at Dorchester Town. It was Shaquille Gwengwe who drew first blood for the hosts just past the quarter-mark and it was a lead they held until early in the second half when Joseph Grant levelled matters before Nana Owusu notched the winner.

The evening’s other game finished level as Hungerford Town and Winchester City shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Over in the Premier Central, there was just one game and it ended in dramatic fashion as Brady Hickey equalised for Barwell at Halesowen Town to earn them a point after Ryan Wynter had given the hosts an early lead in front of a crowd of just over 500.
