Molesley looking forward to home action

Hayes & Yeading United manager, Mark Molesley, is hoping to see his side in home Pitching In Southern League Premier South action for the first time since October 21st this weekend as they play host to Sholing.

A run of four away games alongside matches falling victim of the winter weather has meant that his tenure has got underway in a decidedly stop-start fashion.

“Yes, it’s been frustrating,” he admitted to us. “We’ve not been able to build any momentum because of all the postponements. We’re not the only team affected by this, of course, and we’ve made sure that we’ve not wasted a second in our preparations.

“The work ethic of my players has shone through and I have been really impressed with the effort that they have put in since I have been here.

“We’re still in build stage at the moment and need games, so hopefully we can get a run of matches now, starting Saturday and into the festive period.

“It will be nice to be back on home soil at the weekend in front of our fans and the local community.”

Molesley’s side have games in hand over almost all of the teams above them as they look to start their climb up the table.
