NORTH LEIGH | CHANGES AT THE TOP

New Chairman and Manager appointed

There have been a number of recent changes at the helm of Pitching In Southern League Division One Central outfit, North Leigh.

Firstly, Chairwoman, Sharon Claridge, made the decision, with ‘mixed emotions’, to step down from her role and has been replaced by John McDonough, whose first task was to replace manager, James Keller, after he decided to stand down due to his business commitments.

Into the hot-seat this week has come Dan Nolan (pictured), who makes a return to the club.

“I am absolutely delighted to be able to get Dan back on board,” said McDonough. “It’s important to get some stability back to the club as quickly as possible, particularly with the busy festive period almost upon us.

“Dan and I have worked together at the club in recent times and I believe that he is the right man to help push us forward, alongside Ben Johnson and the rest of the management team.”

The club sits in second place in the table, four points off leaders, Bedford Town, but having played a game more.

They will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat at Biggleswade Town in their last outing when they play host to AFC Dunstable this weekend before leading into an away trip to Cirencester Town on Boxing Day and a home encounter with Kidlington on New Year’s Day.
