HAYES & YEADING UNITED | LESSON LEARNED

Molesley seeks right response

A run of four straight Pitching In Southern League Premier South victories came to an end for Hayes & Yeading United on Tuesday evening as they let a lead slip to go down 2-1 at home to Didcot Town.

“This game tells you that if you get too far ahead of yourselves and don’t show the right mentality, then everyone is capable of beating each other,” admitted manager, Mark Molesley. “We felt the full force of that on Tuesday in what was a lack-lustre display.

“It was such a shame after all of the good work that we have put in during recent games. However, the beauty of football is that there is always an opportunity to put things right around the corner, and that is certainly the case on Saturday as we are straight back in home action for the visit of AFC Totton.

“We’ll use Tuesday as a reminder of how we need to have the correct mentality at all times and with players coming back from injury and starting to find their feet, we are determined to continue our recent good form.”
