The Rams are rising up the table

It’s just one defeat from their last eight Pitching In Southern League Premier South games for Beaconsfield Town as they continue their climb up the table.

A brace from skipper, Luke Neville, saw them overcome the challenge of play-off hopefuls, Walton & Hersham last weekend as they recorded a 2-1 victory.

“Results have really been on the up since the turn of the year,” said Neville. “There has been a change in mindset with everyone working so hard and putting their bodies on the line. It’s reaping its rewards.

“We started the season slower than we would have liked, but we’re confident that we can have a strong finish and our recent results back this up.

“It was nice to get a couple of goals in the last game; our visitors had a lot of possession, but we worked extremely hard and really dug in to get the three points.

“The lads stuck to the game plan and it was a good win in the end, even though we were a little disappointed not to have kept another clean sheet by conceding a late goal.”

Saturday will present another challenge as they make the trip to Gosport Borough.
