Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Redditch United have signed former Liverpool youngster Okera Simmonds.
The now 21-year-old was rated as a real prospect as a winger at Anfield, having joined the academy at under-13 level.
He progressed through to the under-18s but in February 2018, he was allowed to leave and signed for Blackburn Rovers.
Simmonds spent a year at Ewood Park, playing for the under-23s mostly, and then moved to Accrington Stanley in January 2019.
However, he left Stanley in December 2019 after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
He trialled with Sheffield Wednesday last year and also turned out for his local side, Stretford Paddock, in the Lancashire & Cheshire AFL.
