Popular defender commits despite relegation

As Dorchester Town face up to life in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South following relegation, they have been able to retain the services of a number of key players.

One such is Ollie Haste, a regular figure in the back-line with over 100 outings to his name.

The campaign ahead will be his fourth at the club, making him one of the longest-serving players.

“This is my home and the decision to stay was an easy one,” admitted Haste to his club media. “I’ve been with Dorchester for a few seasons now and it upsets me more than anyone to see the club at this level.

"We owe it to the fans and the volunteers at the club who support us week in, week out to get back to the Premier Division at the first attempt and I will be doing all I can to help the club achieve that objective during the campaign ahead.”

Haste has been joined by Will Spetch, Corby Moore and Ieuan Turner in committing to the cause for 2026/27.
