St Neots Bolster Attacking Options

Two much-travelled strikers join the Saints.

Southern League Division One Central club St Neots Town have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of two well-travelled marksmen.

Ryan Robbins moves to the Premier Plus Stadium after leaving league rivals Corby Town.

The experienced 32-year-old is a prolific non-League marksman who joined the Steelmen in November 2019.

A St Kitts & Nevis international, he had been at Steel Park before, however, spending time on loan from Boston United in 2016.

He had spells with Coalville Town, Barwell, Stamford AFC and King`s Lynn before joining the Pilgrims in 2015.

In November 2017 he joined AFC Rushden & Diamonds from Gresley FC and scored 17 goals in 31 games before moving on to Loughborough Dynamo, Shepshed Dynamo and United Counties League side Leicester Nirvana.

Also joining the Saints is 25-year-old Leon Lobjoit, who has had a somewhat nomadic career since being on the books at MK Dons and Coventry City as a youngster.

After leaving Coventry, he joined his local side, Hemel Hempstead Town in 2014.

However, he failed to make a breakthrough with the Tudors and embarked on his travels, taking in stops of varying lengths with New Bradwell St Peter, Arlesey Town, Queens Park Rangers, Corby Town and Nuneaton Borough.

His most impressive spell came at Buckingham Town, where he scored 52 goals in just 30 games, earning him a move to League One side Northampton Town.

Whilst on the Cobblers books he had loan spells with Corby, Nuneaton and Banbury United before being released in 2018 when he signed for Brackley Town.

In March 2019, he completed a transfer to Bedford Town from AFC Rushden and Diamonds.

He was then given a chance to step up to Vanarama National League South level with a second spell at Hemel Hempstead before enjoying a successful campaign in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division with Newport Pagnell Town.
