Defender joins but striker leaves.

Southern League Premier Division South club Hayes & Yeading United have added defender Andrew Herring to their squad.

The 21-year-old centre-half who can also play in midfield, joins Hayes & Yeading from Isthmian League Premier Division side Merstham, for whom he signed for in January 2020.

He originally came through Corinthian-Casuals` ranks to make his first-team bow in December 2017.
He switched to Isthmian South Central outfit South Park in 2018.

Meanwhile, earlier Hayes & Yeading lost well-travelled striker Manny Duku.

Duku, who ended the 2019/20 season after a second spell at Hayes & Yeading, has left once more and signed a one-year deal with Scottish Championship side Raith Rovers.
