Donnelly Re-Signs for Bedford

Experienced midfielder returns to the New Eyrie.

Bedford Town have announced that Callum Donnelly has re-joined the Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central club.

The 32-year-old midfielder returns to the New Eyrie having made 85 appearances since he first joined in 2017 from Hitchin Town.

He made over 300 appearances for Hitchin and his other previous clubs include Stotfold, Cambridge City, Baldock Town and Boreham Wood.

Donnelly initially announced he had left the Eagles in July but a change of management has changed his mind.

Speaking to www.bedfordeagles.net, new manager Gary Setchell said: "Callum has been training with the club, and I've been impressed with what I've seen so far. He will provide us with bite in midfield and fill in whilst Matty Harriott is suspended. Callum has always been a difficult player to play against when I've come up against him at Kings Lynn. I look forward to working with him".
